Rookie of the Month: Trevon Peracca

Trevon Peracca is a 29-year-old real estate entrepreneur who currently resides in the Chicago area. His many roles include father, husband, US Marine veteran, real estate investor, serial entrepreneur, photographer, musician, martial artist, baseball coach, and community educator.

Trevon started his first job in door-to-door newspaper sales at only 12-years-old in 2005. From there, he worked fast food throughout high school until he began his adult career in the US Marine Corps in 2011.

Throughout Trevon’s eight years in the Marine Corps, he served in many capacities, including Infantry Rifleman, Public Affairs Correspondent, Martial Arts Instructor, Honor Guard Team Leader, The Camp Pendleton Color Sergeant, photojournalist, Marketing and Public Affairs Director, recruiting and much more.

In 2015, after an intense pursuit of a new wealth-building strategy, he discovered real estate; specifically wholesaling. After a few failed attempts at direct mail campaigns, he decided to get serious about real estate and founded his own company on March 28, 2016; Chicago Home Buyers.

From that day, Trevon juggled his Marine Corps assignment working 80-90 hours per week and spent his only sleeping/off-duty hours learning the business and building his company.

Finally, on June 13, 2017, 442 days after starting his company, Trevon’s company closed its first wholesale deal with net proceeds of $9,655.50. Since that day, his trajectory has never looked the same!

After that Trevon closed a few deals per year until he was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 2019. Once his time was freed, he used it to perfect his systems and grow his team. These efforts allowed Trevon to travel more than 50,000 miles worldwide with his family while his team consistently found and closed deals every month.

Trevon broke every newbie rule in the book. He hired a team before ever closing a deal, double closed his first deal, never spoke to a seller, and never spoke to a buyer. He built the infrastructure and collected his check at closing.

After a remarkable year in 2019, 2020 was a humbling experience. After having to lay off all five members of his team and losing nearly $100,000, Trevon’s newfound real estate career was hanging by a thread.

After 7 months of no deals, Trevon buckled down and did the grunt work himself for the first time to start closing deals again. He spent 2021 recovering from the hardship of 2020. During this time, Trevon worked on perfecting his sales and closing skills, networking, and becoming an authority in the Chicago wholesaling space.

Now in 2022, Trevon has begun rebuilding a small team based on the lessons he learned. Trevon’s goal this year is to break a $1,000,000 net worth and develop a team that can systematically produce $100,000 or more per month in revenue!
