What is "skip tracing"? - Skip tracing refers to the process of locating the owner of a property by obtaining contact information such as mobile phone numbers, landlines and email addresses.

Why is having quality skip traced data important? - Skip tracing with BatchLeads will ultimately bring your cost per lead and cost per contract down because you won't be wasting money on bad data. We aggregate our data from top tier credit bureaus and when you export your skip traced list, BatchLeads will always provide a score on how confident we are that the phone numbers are accurate.

This guide will show you how to skip trace a single address in your BatchLeads account. If you'd like to see how to import your own list to skip trace click here

Start by going to "My Lists" from the menu on the left. You can search for something or use your filters to find the property you're looking for. Once you see the property you'd like to skip trace, click on the address to open the details (shown in the image below).

Once the details of the property are open, click "skip trace" under the "property details" tab (shown in the image below).

You'll have the option to assign it to a new list if you'd like and it will give you the estimated cost. It is estimated because you'll only be charged if BatchLeads is able to bring data back for you successfully. BatchLeads will also never charge you for duplicate skip traces. Click "skip trace" at the bottom after reviewing.

Note that your free skip trace credits will be utilized before deducting from your available balance. This includes 250 credits for users on the Personal Basic plan and 1,000 credits for those on the Personal Plus plan.
